THE HEAD AND AUTHORITY OF THE CHURCH

QUESTIONS:

1. Ephesians 5:23 says, "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the of the church: and he is the saviour of the body."

2. Concerning Jesus Colossians 1:18 says, "And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in he might have the preeminence."

3. Paul says concerning Christ that the Father has "put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his , the fulness of him that filleth all in all" (Ephes. 1:22-23).

4. Peter preached, "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both " (Acts 2:36).

5. Paul said to Christians, "But I would have you know, that the head of every is Christ; and the head of the woman is the ; and the head of Christ is God" (I Cor. 11:3).

6. Peter preached concerning Jesus, "Neither is there in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

7. The New Testament revelation as God's will for all of mankind came from the Father to His who then sent the Holy to guide the into all truth. The word was first spoken orally. In time the inspired apostles and prophets of the first century then wrote God's will in the New scriptures. (John 7:16;14:24;14:26;15:26-27;16:13-14; 2 Th. 2:15, 3:6; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 3:1, 15; Jude 3)

8. Concerning the scriptures Paul said, "All scripture is given by of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: [17] That the man of God may be perfect, furnished unto all good works" (2 Tim.3:16-17).

9. Concerning "the faith" or the New Testament Jude says, "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was delivered unto the saints" (Jude 3).

10. Jude says in verse 3 that the process of revealing God's will is still going on today? T or F?
