The "F" List: to help with finding a topic look at the words in BOLD print.

“I’m Staying with Zoom” The current pride in technology denominational invite is “Worship online or in person here.” We must be certain that what we do with high tech is scriptural as regards the work and worship of Christ’s church. If “zoom” and “online” are let stray, as some among us already have, then you will have a developed human tradition that will cause many to lose their souls. The impact itself on the body of Christ can be like a spreading spiritual virus in years following upon member’s zeal for assembling (Cf. Eph. 4:14; 2 Tim. 2:17; Heb. 10:24-27). To “speak the things proper for SOUND DOCTRINE” you must know the difference between the word “home” and “house” and “houses” and the words “come together as a church” and “assembling of ourselves together” and “in the church.” Read here for proper definitions that lead to proper applications of what it means to “assemble together.”

The kind of SPEAKING DEMANDED is presented in the following points with the definitions given:

Showing oneself a lover of the truth is seen in SPEAKING the truth to one another (EPH. 4:20-25).

TO SPEAK, exhort and rebuke with all authority (TITUS 2:15)

PREACHING involves “REPROVE” [G1651], “REBUKE” [G2008] & “EXHORT” [G3870] (CF. 2 TIM. 4:2)

QUALIFIED ELDERS BOTH EXHORT (G3870) AND CONVICT or CONVINCE (G1651) THE GAINSAYSERS (G483) (Titus 1:9).

WHAT WILL MEN DESIRE WHEN THEY CANNOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE?

2Ti 4:3 FOR THE TIME WILL COME WHEN THEY WILL NOT ENDURE SOUND DOCTRINE, BUT ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN DESIRES, BECAUSE THEY HAVE ITCHING EARS, THEY WILL HEAP UP FOR THEMSELVES TEACHERS;

2Ti 4:4 and THEY WILL TURN THEIR EARS AWAY FROM THE TRUTH, AND BE TURNED ASIDE TO FABLES.

a. “…ACCORDING TO THEIR OWN DESIRES >  [G1939 epithumia, nf] Thayer: 1) desire, craving, longing, desire for what is forbidden, lust

b. “…BECAUSE THEY HAVE ITCHING EARS > [G2833 knēthō, vb.] Thayer: 1) to scratch, tickle, make to itch… 3) desirous of hearing something pleasant

c. “…HEAP UP FOR THEMSELVES TEACHERS” > [G2002 episōreuō] Strong’s: to accumulate further, that is, (figuratively) seek additionally: - heap. Thayer: “to heap up, accumulate in piles: to choose for themselves and run after a great number of teachers, 2 Tim. 4:3.

d. “… BE TURNED ASIDE TO FABLES” >  [G3454 muthos] Strong’s: - a tale, that is, fiction (“myth”): - fable > I Tim. 1:4, I Tim. 4:7, 2 Tim. 4:4, Titus 1:14 “…turn away from the truth”; 2 Pet. 1:16 “cunningly devised tales…”

Unwise Unsuspiciousness (Jer. 40:14) This is based upon Gedaliah’s mistake as recorded by Jeremiah. We see stupidity in the pattern presented by refusing to credit information given by “all”; being indignant towards the informant and accusing him of lying (Lies). “You liar!” You will often hear that when the evidence points to something one doesn’t want to believe. He should have listened. This also includes events in the family of David when Amnon rapes Tamar, and Absalom seeks to kill Amnon. One point developed is the how ungodly friends will support improper sexual thoughts and help another fulfill them. A cousin is the FACILITATOR – beware of wicked cousins.

Membership Requirements According to the First Century Revelation This lesson is Lesson Three in our Series: "Fundamental Lessons on the Church." Lesson Three: "Membership Requirements According to the First Century Revelation." In this lesson you will learn about what one must do to be saved and become a member of Christ's church. The question, "What must I do to be saved?" is fully answered as you study through the accounts of conversion recorded in Acts. The step of FAITH or "believing" in the deity of Christ and its place in the order of the steps of obedience necessary to become a Christian is present in its scriptural light. You can read about some in the first century whose faith led them to obey in baptism.

The Beginning Point Leading To Salvation  This article should help anyone today who has come to realize that the variety of explanations offered today due to diverse human philosophies and beliefs have left many frustrated concerning the important matter of salvation. Three such beliefs, the Pentecostal experience, adults baptizing infants and professing belief without required obedience are examined in the light of God's word and found wanting! If you will take your Bible and read each scripture in this brief study it will enable you to be honest with yourself (see Acts 17:11) about your own salvation. BELIEF (FAITH) comes by hearing the Word (Rom. 10:17). Moreover, it will help prevent the all too common occurrence of many misleading others by that with which they were lead astray themselves.

A Simple Biblical Pattern For Explaining “Why?”  A respondent who questioned the matter of judging those who live together without marriage stated, “I think these days it can be a good thing to live together before getting married....  This obviously goes against your feelings, but they're just your feelings, not everyone's." Last of all she stated, "As far as your last sentence, it's not an idea that it's acceptable and normal, these days, IT IS acceptable and normal.... If you don't like it, then don't do it.... I wouldn't criticize you...why do you judge about people who choose to live together?"
This individual wants to know “Why” I would determine that people who choose to live together are wrong in doing so. I presumed this to be an honest question deserving of an answer.

Understand that our FAITH is an intellectual process not an emotional one. The apostle Paul said, "So then FAITH cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" (Romans 10:17). God intended that the scriptures be read and understood (Eph. 3:3-5). Above all God requires obedience from man in regards to what he reads in the New Testament scriptures, which are God given. The Hebrew writer stated that the present work of Christ, in the plan of redemption, necessitates man's obedience: "And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him" (Hebrews 5:9). Without this FAITH which includes obedience we are taught that man cannot please God (Cf. Hebrews 11:6; John 6:29). “Instruction” in the Word plainly states that fornication as described above is a work of the flesh that leads to eternal destruction if not repented of (I Cor. 6:9; Gal. 5:19-21).

“All You Really Have To Do Is Believe In God”  Jesus said, “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven” (Matt. 7:21). This is a lesson today for “the foolish” who refuse to recognize that FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS USELESS AND DEAD (see James 2:20-26). Above all it becomes, when we understand the expression “the will of My Father,” the very lesson people need who say Jesus is Lord and then profess there are other religions that lead to the Father that don’t believe Jesus is Lord (cp. Lk. 6:46). And again, notice in our study what knowing and doing “the will of My Father” does to the statement often heard, i.e. all you have to do is believe in God.

The Majority Know Another Jesus The church at Corinth gladly tolerated fools who taught another Jesus and different gospel, Paul said (cf. 2 Cor. 11:4, 19).  It is possible for one to read the trifling literature of fools and possess a completely false view of Jesus. Read the Gospels for yourself and see what He really did do and teach. Here’s a start with applications from the Gospels themselves that show the stark differences between what most think Jesus taught and what He really did teach! Verses are presented that deal with: (21) obedience in baptism is the RESULT OF ONE’S OWN FAITH in God’s word …

Human Creeds and Statements of Faith Many believe that their church’s creed – often written long ago – is equal in authority to the New Testament scriptures. This article is written with the intent of showing that creeds and STATEMENTS OF FAITH often contain error. Many statements of faith are written to “attract” by stating social goals. Sadly, these are lacking in stating truthfully what is necessary for one to believe and do in order to be saved. Even the ancient Apostles’ Creed is not enough!

Is There Prophecy Today? This is a study of prophecy in the New Testament dispensation, and yet it issues appropriate warnings to those often deceived by false teachers claiming not only the gift of prophecy but other spiritual gifts as well. There is an abundance of information on all of the spiritual gifts; “prophecy” was one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit enumerated in I Corinthians 12:8-10. Prophecy appears here along with speaking in tongues, the word of knowledge, and various other spiritual gifts. Notice that there were nine spiritual gifts in all that were given to the infant church: 1. the word of wisdom, 2. the word of knowledge, 3. FAITH, 4. gifts of healing, 5. working of miracles, 6. prophecy, 7. discerning of spirits, 8. different kinds of tongues (languages), and 9.  the interpretation of tongues.

Things Often Missing During Afflictions The applications in this brief study will deal with those who are in affliction.  Dear reader, you will notice that with some of these God has no pleasure. He has no pleasure with those who FALL AWAY during affliction! For others, they see God’s faithfulness during their afflictions. Why not read this either for yourself or with a view to being able to help another?

Jesus Came to Fulfill the Law (Matt. 5:17-18) People are quick to quote these passages to justify using a combination of the Mosaic Law (Old Testament or Covenant) along with the New Testament. This is used for any number of things, but especially for items of worship that they particularly like that cannot be justified by the New Testament teaching concerning the church of Christ. The attraction of special clothing (cf. Ex. 28) for ministers and priests, along with the use of instruments, candles, incense, etc. would be examples. Since we are not given these in the New Testament for worship are we free to choose one or all if we want to? Paul said those who would be justified by the Law were severed from Christ, and had FALLEN FROM GRACE (Gal. 5:4).

The mark of the beast, 666,  Rev. 13:16-17   A respondent has stated that people are going around preaching the number 666 about everything. He states that people are even looking for the "mark" on the foreheads of others and requests that something be said about this. The material puts the "mark" in the context (historical setting) where it belongs! The Devil attempts to destroy Christ's church by using Rome and the FALSE  PROPHET, the beast of the earth.

How Can One Understand the Word of God? (A Brief Study of Scriptural Authority)  Most churches never speak out on the necessity of having “scriptural authority” for what one believes and practices. In fact, most are not willing to deal with the subject because of the lack of authority for things they are doing. Here is a brief study on how to establish scriptural authority by using Statements, Commands, Examples, and Necessary Inferences found in the Word of God. Each individual is confronted with the task of seeking the approval of God as set forth in the Scriptures, over the approval of men. Nor must one allow their feelings or emotions to take precedent over the requirements of God’s word (cf. Pr. 14:12). Your parents and family tradition are not the standard of religious authority (cf. Matt. 10:34-37). One’s conscience is not the standard for there are examples where one believed they were right when wrong (cf. Acts 26:9). The preacher is not the standard for the preacher must be preaching the Word (cf. 2 Tim. 4:1-5; Gal. 1:8-9). The elders are not the standard for the elders must be upholding the Word (Titus 1:9). Human creeds and confessions of faith written by men are most often found among FALSE STANDARDS used today, yet held in high esteem by men and institutions built by men.

"What went you out…to see?" This is a lesson on dress. The study first looks at Jesus' teaching concerning "anxiety" and dress (Matt. 6, the Sermon on the Mount). Application is drawn from the use of "clothing" as a metaphor in warning against FALSE RELIGIOUS TEACHERS (Matt. 7:15).  A very important lesson is drawn from His teaching concerning the hypocritical Jewish leaders who were skilled in identifying their "own" holy signs of dress, yet so unskilled in listening to God's word and identifying "proper" conduct. What it means to present one's self as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God (Rom. 12:1-2), is viewed in the light of proper dress and conduct. The kind of conduct that shows respect for oneself, for others, and manifests one's self control (I Tim. 2:8-9).

Selected Newspaper Articles for “The Sun,” Yuma, AZ. These four articles appeared in our local newspaper, “The Sun,” Yuma, AZ.: (1) “We’re Just A Bunch Of Kids Here!” presents the frivolous attitude manifested by both adults and young adults in churches today that fails to fulfill the Biblical duty of warning young people to “trust in the Lord; lean not unto thine own understanding” (Cf. Prov. 3:5-6; 22:15; 19:18); (2) “Scriptural Warnings For Grad Night”; (3) “Much Is Lacking In The Sinner’s Prayer”; (4) “Tell Me I’m A Great Guy!” ~ This brief article deals with winter visitors and the disgusting way in which churches flatter them as they  vie for both numerical and financial advantage. Never were people converted with flattery in the first century (Cf. Acts 2:36-38; Gal. 2:1ff; James 2:1-6). It is the FALSE TEACHER who uses flattery as a cloak to hide his greed (Cf. I Th. 2:5-6; Rom. 16:17-18).

Casting Down Eloquence & Sophistry Series (2 Cor. 10:4-5) This series is aimed at the Eloquence and Sophistry of FALSE TEACHERS. Modern teachers love to emphasize some of the teaching of Jesus while discounting the teaching of His apostles. This “discount” includes all prophets who wrote the New Testament. Their prejudice against the whole of the New Testament scriptures makes it easy to identify them. It is the Scriptures themselves that expose their unwillingness to accept the whole of the New Testament teaching as the revealed will of Christ. Why not take time to read the exposure of such false teachers in these newspaper articles.

Identity Theft   Here is a lesson based upon the prevalence of “identity theft.” This lesson answers the questions What is identity theft? How do thieves steal an identity? What do thieves do with a stolen identity? How can you find out if your identity was stolen? What can you do to help fight identity theft? and What can you do to help fight identity theft? --- all with a spiritual view as to the use of Christ’s name without proper permission and how Christ name theft crimes take many forms. There is but “one” Gospel just as there is but one of each of our persons (cf. Gal. 1:6-10). Spiritually the unity of belief and practice of the one Gospel is the means by which we fight identity theft and protect against those who wear Christ’s name who are frauds. Describing spiritual impostors Paul said they are FALSE APOSTLES, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ and servants of righteousness (cf. 2 Cor. 11:13-15). You will find twelve scriptural and helpful applications for detecting these impostors who preach another Gospel. Such will “rob” you of your prize if you let them (Col. 2:18-19).

2:17; Heb. 10:24-27). You must know the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE WORD “HOME” AND “HOUSE” AND “HOUSES” and the words “come together as a church” and “ASSEMBLING OF OURSELVES TOGETHER” and “IN THE CHURCH” - Read here for proper definitions that lead to proper applications of what it means to ASSEMBLE TOGETHER.

IS A HUMAN TRADITION BEING DEVELOPED NOW AMONG CHURCHES?

Are brethren being led to believe that an online presentation is “assembling”?

DO HUMAN TRADITIONS AGAINST THE WORD PLEASE FALSE TEACHERS AND FALSE BRETHREN?

Where do false motive come from? Just how much in such a developed human tradition is there a pleasing of self and others? Enough to leave sound doctrine!

THE KIND OF SPIRIT GOD HAS GIVEN US (2 TIM. 1:7)

2Ti 1:7 For God has NOT GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

“SPIRIT” [G4151 pneuma] – Thayer 5. “disposition, desire…”

a. NOT OF “FEAR” (timidity, NASB) [G1167 deilia, n.] Thayer: 1) timidity, fearfulness, cowardice. From [G1169 deilos, adj.] > From δέος deos (dread); timid, that is, (by implication) faithless: - fearful > Rev. 21:8 “cowardly” followed by “unbelieving” [G571 apistos] 1) unfaithful, faithless, (not to be trusted, perfidious).

b. “BUT OF POWER” [G1411 dunamis] Thayer: strength, ability, power – from [G1410 dunamai] to be able or possible: - be able, can (do, + -not), could, may, might, be possible, be of power; Rom. 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.”

Notes: “spirit” (mind, mental or desire):  “…not ...of fear” (timidity, cowardice), “but of power” (*seen in believing and doing the Word, 2 Tim. 1:8, 2 Tim. 3:5 denied the power thus weak and unfit; Ja. 1:22 doers of the word);

Some verses where we are told to be able and are able: Jas 1:22 doers of the word; Lk. 6:46-48; Jo. 12:42-43; I Th. 2:2; Eph. 3:16-17; Col. 1:9-12.

c. “OF LOVE AND A SOUND MIND” – “sound” [G4995 sōphronismos] Thayer:

1) an admonishing or calling to soundness of mind, to moderation and self-control.

Application: You can’t separate the sound mind from sound doctrine!

CAN’T SEPARATE THE WORD FROM STRENGTH!

VERSES: Rom. 1:16-17 “the Gospel of Christ for it is the power of God unto salvation”; Eph. 6:11 “put on the whole armor of God that you might be able to stand”, 16 “shield of faith” (cf. Rom. 10:17 faith comes by hearing the word), 17 “the sword of the Spirit…the word of God”, 19 “prayer and supplication for all saints.” Christ’s strength would have gotten all of His churches through “lock down” whatever it took: 1) Back Yards 2) Open Spaces 3) Parking Lots etc.

“THE CHURCH IS NOT THE BUILDING!”

Remember way back when we were explaining that the church is not the building – that church buildings are expedients of the command to assemble (Heb. 10:25) and the work of edifying the body (I Cor. 14:26) – there was common way of putting it plainly back then, “You can meet under a tree for that matter!” Let’s hear that again, “You can meet under a tree for that matter! Yes, “You can meet under a tree for that matter! Until it came time to! Let’s hear that again. Until it came time to!

Selected Newspaper Articles  Dear reader the following bold heading is a selected article that appeared in our local newspaper, the Yuma Sun. This article titlled “I’m Mr. Positive!” bespeaks of the empty, vain, teaching and preaching done today by popular speakers who serve themselves and not the Lord Jesus Christ (Rom. 16:17). Mr. PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) can avoid every probing question as to soundness in teaching and love for truth with, “You’ve got to understand, I’m just being me in being totally positive in my message.” How clever the liars are who hide their true motives concerning their LOVE FOR RICHES, FAME, and POWER behind “I’m Mr. PMA!” Why not read about Mr. PMA and his motives for not using scripture and requiring repentance unto salvation? We encourage you to read each of scriptures referenced to understand your own accountability (Jo. 12:48; Matt. 7:21-27).

Do Not Let Your Heart Envy Sinners The purpose of this article is to emphasize the importance of enabling others to develop speech that correctly describes the sinner ---- and especially our children. Applications are made for this important question: If you can’t say the wicked are so what are some likely problem you will have? Often a young woman who has a bad husband will not say so. She wants to be with him. There is the fear of losing marriage status and more. This can be reversed--- consider the man with an evil wife who fails in the same way. We must NOT LOVE FAMILY MORE than God (cf. Matt. 10:47; Lk. 14:26).

Someone Christians Never Need --- The Corporate Chaplain   The corporate Chaplain is unknown in the New Testament church. Here is your “physical future” generally speaking (Eccl. 12:1-8). With that in mind this article presents duties one must fulfill. First, there is duty to self to not forsake the truth in old age. There is also the duty to relieve and care for one’s own FAMILY. Thirdly, this article presents some of the dangers for Christians in care centers and lessons from the elderly, both good and bad.

Selected Newspaper Articles Dear reader the following titles are selected newspaper articles that appeared in our local newspaper the Yuma Sun. Advertizing for many churches tends to follow the current trend for advertizing in general and has an emotional “pitch” to possibly interest the reader. The intent of these articles is that each shows a love for and desire to present the Truth without incorporating the emotional flavor so popular with other religious bodies today. There is nothing comparable to the truth of God’s words with its wisdom. The topics are: “The Buyer Is Like The Seller; The Creditor Is Like The Debtor” (What God’s word says about liars, cheats and murderers applies to all – the rich and poor!); “Wicked Kids, Teens, Beating & Stomping Others” (This exposes the lie, “Oh they’re just too young to know better!” These kids do not despise evil, are pleased to run with and have their part with others who hate correction, and their FAMILIES ARE FULL OF ALL MANER OF DECEIT! (Cf. Ps. 36:1-4; 50:16-22); “Some Wrights Are So Wrong” (When so called “Pastors” are asked if John 14:6 is true and if they think Islam is another way to salvation, and then suggest that there is another path to the Father they deny what Jesus and the apostles taught! (cf. John 12:48).

A Study of the Antichrists  Here is a study that corrects false views that many today have of what the Bible teaches about the antichrists. A major point in the articles is that antichrists deny the FATHER and the Son.

Points made concerning both the FATHER’S WILL and Jesus are:

  1.   Jesus did the will of the father who sent Him (cf. John 6:37-38).

  2.   Jesus’ words are the Father’s (John 17:14, 17).

  3.   Jesus was seeking the Father’s glory not His own (Jo. 7:17-18).

  4.   Jesus’ authority was the Father’s! (Read John 12:48-50).

  5.   Jesus gave us the Father’s word which is truth (John 17:14, 17).

  6.   One cannot come to Christ except by the will of the Father (Jo. 6:37).

  7.   The Father’s will is that you believe in Jesus His Son (Jo. 6:45).

  8.   The “work of God,” or requirement of God is that one believes in Jesus whom He has sent (John 6:26-29).

  9.   The Father’s will is that eternal life comes through belief in Christ (John 6:40).

10.   Eternal life is gained by knowing His Father and the Son whom He sent (Jo. 17:3).

11.  Jesus is the only way to the Father (Jo. 14:6).

12.  The doing of the Father’s will establishes one’s relationship with Christ (Matt. 12:50).

13.  Those who do believe will not perish (Jo.3:16).

14.  The belief in Christ that saves is a belief that obeys Him, else the wrath of God abides upon one (cf. Matt. 7:21; Jo. 3:36; Heb. 5:9).

15.  The one who doesn’t believe God has given us eternal life in His Son makes God a liar (I John 5:10-11).

16.  This is all based in the Scriptures (John 5:39; De. 18:18-19).

17.  Jesus didn’t say that they “can’t” believe and obey but they “would not” (John 8:24).

18.  His word which was the Father’s necessitates baptism for initial obedience in order that one might be saved (cf. Matt. 28:18-20 “all” authority for “all” nations; Mk. 16:15-16; Acts 16:31; Acts 22:16 an example of Saul obeying the Son of God).

19.  Christ was “end of the Law” (Rom. 10:4). Both Jew and Gentile are saved the same way by obeying the Gospel (Rom. 1:16, 17, Rom. 3:29-30).

20.  To believe in Christ is to believe in the Father (cf. John 12:44-45). Of course, for that is the Father’s will! (see above)

21.  To reject Christ is to reject the Father’s word (cf. John 12:48-50, 14:24). Read the boldness of Peter and John in the newspaper article above (Acts 4:12-13).

22.  To receive Christ is to receive the Father (cf. John 13:20). Jesus told why some do not receive Him (cf. John 5:43-44).

23.  If you don’t love Christ you don’t keep the Father’s words (cf. John 14:24).

24.  If you keep the Father’s will you will keep Christ’s commandments (cf. John 14:15, 24, 12:49).

25.  To abide in Jesus’ love is to abide in the Father’s love (cf. John 14:21, 15:9-10; I John 4:16).

26.  To be in Christ is to be in the Father (cf. I John 4:15-16).

27.  Knowing the Son is knowing the Father (cf. John 14:7-10, 1:18, 10:15; Matt. 11:27 Plain!).

28.  If you deny the Son you do not have the Father (cf. I John 2:23). You’ve called God a liar! (I John 5:10). You will die in your sins (John 8:24). Those who deny the Son are in the power of Satan (I John 5:19-20).

29.  Whoever confesses the Son has the Father (cf. I John 2:23).

30.  Does the Father’s will really say all that one must do is believe in God in a very general way? No!

This becomes, when we understand the expression “the will of My Father,” the very lesson people need who say Jesus is Lord and then profess there are other religions that lead to the Father that don’t believe Jesus is Lord (cp. Lk. 6:46). And again, notice in our study what knowing and doing “the will of My Father” does to the statement often heard, i.e., all you have to do is believe in God.

Godly Fathers & Mothers These important Bible points concerning what godly FATHERS know and practice are shown to be also what godly MOTHERS know and practice.

The Paths of Mercy The subject of God’s great mercy is connected with the things that He delights in. God delights in Loving-kindness, Justice and Righteousness, thus the necessity of our glorying in these things in order that we might receive His mercy! Moreover, God’s mercy is for those who fear Him (Ps. 103:17-18). We must remember that it is in the practice of mercy itself that we receive back from God (Ps. 18:25-27). Along with these there is a checklist of applications on God’s kindness that includes ones finding FAVOR in the sight of God and man.

Discontent followed by the “Curtain Call” followed by the “Go Get ‘Em Letter”   The article contains illustrations of those who work to please self and man, while displaying their own discontent with the truth, as well their own failed effort to please God —  saturated with always working to please self and man, and courting MAN’S FAVOR above God’s!

The Appreciation Of Godly Sisters In Christ The tremendous value of our sisters in Christ is set forth in this article. Beginning with the honor that is due to faithful women in Christ, the study sets forth the various duties enjoined upon them in regards to their family and service rendered to the church that Christ built. Children and family members must practice piety towards their “own” and requite their parents, Paul said (I Tim. 5:4). Moreover, they are to be ready unto every good work (Eph. 2:10, I Tim. 5:10, Titus 3:1, 2:14). Christians who are ready and yield their bodies unto God as instruments of righteousness in sacrificial service are fulfilling the perfect will of God (cf. Rom.  12:1-2, 6:13). They exemplify those whom God takes pleasure in  and FAVORS because they fear Him (cf. Ps. 149:4, 147:10-11). These are the ones who can be taught, and have been (Ps. 34:11-15). Their glory is in understanding and knowing God who delights in lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth! (Cf. Jer. 9:23-24). Obedience unto righteousness is what God takes pleasure in, thus these are the scriptural reasons why all of our godly sisters are appreciated. Why not study the nine points of application directed towards their being scripturally appreciated?

God Turns The Way Of The Wicked Upside Down  This lesson considers the path of the wicked that is a familiar topic throughout the Psalms. You will learn about the wicked by the following: (1) God thwarts the way of the wicked (Ps. 146:9); (2) God puts the wicked in great fear because He despises them! (Ps. 53; Lev. 26:14-33); (3) Accusers are filled with their own ways (Ps. 109). This section tells you exactly what will happen to the wicked; (4) You will learn about the purpose of their traps they set for the righteous; (5) God overthrows the best of secret counsel (Ps. 64). God’s purpose is that all who see their wicked counsel overthrown fear Him, and declare it the work of God. The righteous will see and declare it to be God’s work; they will proclaim the Lord FAVORS those who fear Him and depend upon His mercy! (Ps. 64; Ps. 147:11).

Selected Newspaper Articles   These are selected articles that appeared in our local newspaper, The Sun. The intent of these articles is that each shows a love for and desire to present the Truth without incorporating the emotional flavor so popular with other religious bodies today. These contain “An Old Fear And Shame ~ EASTER.”  Like most today leaders in the second century were desirous of making the church more attractive. They were FEARFUL that the simple worship God gave His church would be held in contempt by those used to pompous ceremonies as part of their old systems. This FEAR was coupled with their being ashamed of the truths of the Gospel (Cf. Rom. 1:16-17; 2 Tim. 4:1-6).  This departing from the faith was a refusal to accept the admonition given by Paul in Col. 2:14-16 and Gal. 4:10. Leaders today stand guilty of the same refusal, FEAR, and being ashamed in their binding the observance of days, festivals and celebrations upon their churches (Cf. Gal. 1:6-9; Rev. 22:18-19).

18:25-27). Along with these there is a checklist of applications on God’s kindness.

Telling Members They Are Sinning In Deliberately Missing Church  This article is one of the most needed and necessary lessons of our day. Beginning with a list of well known excuses offered by brethren from all over, the blame is placed where it should be and this is with the unfaithfulness of the church as a “whole.” Local churches are failing miserably in making certain of any particular member’s faithfulness, and thus not to be guilty of allowing unfaithfulness. That “FEAR” is the main reason there is an obvious (manifest) attendance problem in so many churches is plainly stated. Members themselves are afraid of disciplining for FEAR of losing numbers, finances, status, etc. God’s people should be told their sins! Are you afraid to do that?

How Will God Feel About You When You Ask Him For Help? Do you know someone who is in trouble and needs God’s help? In this brief study the scriptures are related to  three important questions dealing with those times when we need, desire, and ask for God’s help: (1) When you want God’s help how fast do you want Him there?  (2) When we need Him to deliver us how far do we want Him from us? (3) How do you want God to feel about you when you ask Him to help you? There is to be a great FEAR OF GOD as we come before Him and to His goodness!

Selected Newspaper Articles Here are four newspaper articles presented to the community with a love for the truth. The intent is to present God’s truths without incorporating the emotional flavor so popular with other religious bodies: (3) “God Knows When Men Conceal The Truth” presents a scriptural view of those who claim to preach God’s word while restraining their lips for covetousness sake. Read what God says about those who hate the one who reproves sin and speaks uprightly; who hate the truth of God’s word that states the sins; who have changed the truth for a lie; who being covetous and not fearing God flatter the arrogant rich and powerful in society; who are companions of those who lapse into falsehood for FEAR of being persecuted; who hate the good and love the evil. Such make up the list of those God knows (and those who study His word know) who would like to fix things to prevent true Christians from speaking about sins that damn the soul.

Verses are presented that deal with: (2) not coming to Christ for FEAR THAT ONE’S EVIL WILL BE IDENTIFIED

God Turns The Way Of The Wicked Upside Down This lesson considers the path of the wicked that is a familiar topic throughout the Psalms. You will learn about the wicked by the following: (1) God thwarts the way of the wicked (Ps. 146:9); (2) God puts the wicked in great FEAR (Ps. 53); (3) Accusers are filled with their own ways (Ps. 109). This section tells you exactly what will happen to the wicked; (4) You will learn about the purpose of their traps they set for the righteous; (5) God overthrows the best of secret counsel (Ps. 64). They shoot from “concealment” (secret) and WITHOUT FEAR of God but only for a while, Ps. 64:2-4. God’s purpose is that all who see their wicked counsel overthrown FEAR Him, and declare it the work of God; they proclaim the Lord favors those who FEAR Him and depend on His mercy (Ps. 147:11). Those who do see and FEAR are wise! (Ps. 64).

The Correct Delight of Kings “The appreciation of “the delight of kings” of Israel --- kept in proper context under the Old Covenant --- is SEEN IN THEIR FEAR OF GOD and obedience to His commands given to Israel. The commands for them to love truth and righteousness, and some doing so, stands in contrast to the wickedness of civil government today!”

The Way of Integrity Psalms 119 This Psalm is often avoided because of its length. This study begins with eight points on integrity with God. Understand that it is on the grounds of your integrity that you may plead to God for protective care against the wicked (Ps. 119:121-128). When we are free from the reproach of inconsistencies then His word is a source of joy and comfort.  Because he did not want to wander from God the scriptures would be his counselors (lit., the men of his counsel) to establish his ways. He was afraid of God’s judgments --- instead of FEARING his persecutors he FEARS GOD’S JUDGMENTS!  These are but a few of the good lesson presented through studying this Psalm. Why not read the article and while doing so read it along with your Bible?

Why We Rejoice With One Another  God delights over His people to do them good (De. 28:63). The Psalmist said, “Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart” (Ps. 97:11). We are commanded to rejoice with those who rejoice, and to weep with those who weep, being of the same mind one toward another (Rom. 12:15-16). Our being sorrowful when one is arrogant and suffers is different from sharing joy and sorrow as Paul spoke of. If one of us suffers because we remain obstinate and arrogant then our sorrow will be the tears of Jeremiah if we love them: “But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret places for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the Lord's flock is carried away captive” (Jer. 13:17). We know that arrogance and pride God will destroy! The righteous will weep because of this for the reasons Jeremiah did in Lamentations— they were given many opportunities to repent and give glory to God, but that takes FEAR AND TREMBLING, and they refused every time the offer was given and would not (cf. Jer. 13:15-19, 15:7, 5:3).  This is the bitter sorrow that realizes God can make enemies rejoice over His own when He casts them off (Ps. 89:42).

God’s blessing is, “But whoso hearkenth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from the FEAR OF EVIL” (Prov. 1:33).

Matt. 10:47; Lk. 14:26).

About the Label “Advertisement” On Our Articles   I’m often asked why there is a label of “advertisement” at the bottom of the Church’s articles. They’ll often say, “No one else’s does, why yours?” The newspaper places it there. Consider this: While the designation is accurate, for our articles tell people about the church of Christ, it is obvious that the content is what we are seeking to get forward (Cf. 1 Tim. 3:15). There should be a distinct difference in what a church of Christ presents to the community, and that of the various false religions. And there is if the church is doing its work as it should. By refusing the often sought “marketing approach” the Truth becomes apparent. It is the Truth that is important in contrast to sin and religious error. Included is an exposure of the oft used “Try Us And You’ll Like Us” pitch.

People should be implored to come to the light of God’s word, and not come because they’ll “like” the flattery, the socials and entertainment. Such advertisements seek to take away the FEAR of having one’s immorality exposed, and thus one being seen in the true light of the Scriptures. Consider what Jesus said about this:

Joh 3:19  "This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.

Joh 3:20  "For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

Joh 3:21  "But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."

Why Churches Fear Applying “Scriptural Authority” ~ Selected Newspaper Articles Concerning “Scriptural Authority.” Local churches of Christ must continue to be the pillar and support of the truth. These three articles relate to the FEAR manifested by church leaders who use human wisdom, emotions and lies; whose goals are power, prestige, pleasing self and material gain. Members themselves love their false position that allows them to fulfill their own lusts. These show how secular institutions influenced by Political Correctness have become protectors and enforcers for those who despise God’s Word, thus displaying a lack of respect for “religious” freedom of speech!

“Thank you for the strong words.” The title is also a quotation from a visitor. She said, “I want you to know it is good to hear strong words used. Back home we don’t get that.” The thing that bothers too many brethren today, and it sadly lacking because of that, is proper application to the brotherhood, the local church, other local churches, and individual lives. She made some good “application” herself –- a wonderfully strong statement concerning a member who isn’t coming. In no way did she indicate that it was otherwise and that she just could not attend at all. She said they had a member who says she’s sick, but sets at home and watches that “dribble” from the fake T.V. evangelists on healing, and then when we admonish her we’re not loving enough and too hard.” Sound familiar? Are men in the church where you worship letting sisters in Christ down because they are the ones who FEAR using strong words?

Selected Newspaper Articles from 2016  These four newspaper articles include: (1) Surely Such Beautiful People (In this article “Beautiful people are just everywhere here!” People, and especially our youth, do not understand the vanity that is evil and destructive). (2) Surely Correct Thinking ~ Although It Does Not Begin With the FEAR of the Lord (In this article “The FEAR of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge” (Pr. 1:9) – “beginning” meaning the first step in acquiring and then applying God’s revealed word. This is not your own “I think” or “I believe.” Four important applications display what men are willing to do when they lack the fear of the Lord. (3) Surely Not Their Kind of Preacher ~ Hired to Protect the Ungodly (Based upon I Tim. 3:16-17 it is the members themselves who are responsible for maintaining such preachers; these men pleasers are standing in line to take the place of those who preach the truth and are dismissed or cast out for doing so. (4) Surely Displays Great Love for Jesus ~ Cancelling Church for Sunday Dec. 25 (Lk. 2:11 says “For you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” That’s right, all we have is “this day” --- thus the obvious flaw in saying that anyone today knows the exact day Jesus was born. Since no one knows then how can “cancelling” church figure in at all? Put this with the command not to forsake assembling and you see that love of the Traditions of men, not God’s Word, is all important and mighty self-serving.

2:17; Heb.

Notes: “spirit” (mind, mental or desire):  “…not ...of fear” (timidity, cowardice), “but of power” (*seen in believing and doing the Word, 2 Tim. 1:8, 2 Tim. 3:5 denied the power thus weak and unfit; Ja. 1:22 doers of the word);

From Youth through the Prime of Life (Eccl. 11:9-12:1) There are degrees of progression of age in this text. Accountability is seen throughout and the “right” things done are contrasted with things sinful that must be removed. These portions of life merge together and are fleeting, thus the necessity of remembering one’s Creator in the days of youth. When done right this “stage” is not filled with DOUBT and DISSATISFACTION, nor is life mostly filled with UNHAPPINESS. They are REJOICING, the heart is PLEASING TO GOD, thus there is a CONTINUAL FEAST (JOY).

Many and Few by Contrast  It is better to have few than to have the human organizations our brethren have formed that intrude into the work God gave the local churches to do. God’s blessings come for the few as well as many who are willing to respect scriptural authority. hen doing so if few they will nothing to be ashamed of – they certainly will not go by “I FEEL LIKE IT’S RIGHT” or “I don’t have any scripture BUT…” Those who go by FEELINGS or emotions alone will leave.

The Way of Integrity Psalms 119 This Psalm is often avoided because of its length. This study begins with eight points on integrity with God. You will note that our inconsistencies are often our reproach in life. And that there is boldness in serving God when there are no inconsistencies. Understand that it is God’s word sought and treasured in our heart that keeps us from sin (Ps. 119:9-16). Restraining the FEET from sin is the result of knowledge applied! Why not read the article and while doing so read it along with your Bible?

Hating Homosexuality This article from 1999 relates to the meeting between Jerry Falwell and the so called gay Christians. That’s exactly the way the press presented them. It said they were gay Christians meaning that they were practicing homosexuals and lesbians. The purpose of that meeting was to reduce violence and hatred toward homosexuals. When the press presents practicing homosexual and lesbians as Christians who present themselves in good standing with God, then the contradictions from a religious point of view must be exposed! And that's what the article does. It shows clearly that "practicing" homosexuals and lesbians are not to be accepted and FELLOWSHIPPED in Christ's church.

Casting Down Eloquence & Sophistry Series (2 Cor. 10:4-5) While professing love and understanding false teachers make a mockery of Christ’s teaching in “how” they use Matt. 22:39 – they twist “love thy neighbor as thyself” and fail to put it properly with the preceding first and greatest commandment – to love
God with one’s “all” (cf. Matt. 22:37-38). Great deceivers are using “love your neighbor” to put their own stamps of approval on iniquity! They teach the local church is accept and FELLOWSHIP heterosexual couples living in fornication which is sin (Gal. 5:19), those in homosexual and lesbian relationships which is sin (I Cor. 6:9; Rom. 1:26-27), and condone and FELLOWSHIP adulterous marriages which are sinful (Matt. 19:9). These deceivers are guilty of rejoicing in iniquity, not loving God and being religiously injurious to all in their wicked deceptions! Their churches are full of iniquity and their members love to have it so (2 Tim. 3:1-5, 4:3).

Aids & Additions (Expediencies Reviewed) Most churches never speak out on the necessity of having “scriptural authority” for what one believes and practices. In fact, most are not willing to deal with the subject because of the lack of authority for things they are doing. It is important to know the difference between “aids” used to carry out what is authorized versus “additions” which are things not authorized. This lesson should help with that distinction. Before brethren justify something based upon expediency they must first stat the authorized work, need or thing commanded to be done. Sadly, some brethren will reason on the basis of what they “like” or “enjoy” and seek to incorporate it into the work and worship of the local church.  This sometimes happens when brethren seek to justify a practice by saying it makes them feel better. Some just flat reject what is authorized, get mad, and leave. The truth never causes anyone to stumble, but rejecting it will! (I Jo. 2:10). At times you will find members who will accept what is authorized in the work and worship of the church while admitting that in their own mind they’d be willing to do that which is not authorized — this usually comes with the promise that they’d never cause trouble or go against the majority. Error in the mind is still error!

Applications are made to these important topics: (1) Instruction to Assemble; (2) The Example of a Treasury; (3) Why the church building is authorized; (4) SOCIAL FUNCTIONS: Kitchens, FELLOWSHIP HALLS & Game Rooms on Church Grounds; (5) The Assemblies of the church in I Cor. 11, 14; (6) Acts 2:42-46; (7) The Serving of the Widows, Acts 6:1-6.

Why Churches Fear Applying “Scriptural Authority” ~ Selected Newspaper Articles: Deals with false plans for unity. Local churches of Christ must continue to be the pillar and support of the truth. These three articles relate to the fear manifested by church leaders who use human wisdom, emotions and lies; whose goals are power, prestige, pleasing self and material gain. Members themselves love their false position that allows them to fulfill their own lusts. Accepting the elements in this shared arrangement led to Unity in Diversity among denominationalists (I’m OK, you’re OK); a mutual agreement that we’ll soft pedal on doctrinal differences and FELLOWSHIP one another. This deliberate deception to ignore the authority of the Scriptures expanded as prayer became an ecumenical tool used to unify the Inter-Faith Movement (So called “Christians,” Jews, Muslims, and those of Eastern faiths joined together in worship); “ONE God many faiths” flies in the face of “ONE Lord,” ONE body” and ONE faith” (cf. Eph. 4:1-4).

“What defines a Church of Christ” Questionnaire (Reviewed)   A questionnaire totaling 640 plus respondents titled “What is a Church of Christ” deals with the above question. Some of the answers unscriptural as they were did not surprise me in the least — they echoed the same cat calls we have heard for years to join in FELLOWSHIP with the denominations and other church types. It set forth the clear division between non-institutional (N.I.) churches and those supporting para-church organizations and missions. It mentioned churches that have added instruments of music for worship, jointly ministered with denominational groups and have changed the name but “still identify with the fellowship of autonomous congregations.” In their mind perhaps, but they fail miserably in thinking that those studying the New Testament see them somewhere in there.

When “Mr. Make a Show” Visits There are all kinds of visitors – some are beneficial, some are benefitted by edification and instruction and humble themselves (Cf. I Cor. 14:25), and some are to be watched carefully (Cf. Acts 20:28-29) for in seeking TO JOIN IN FELLOWSHIP they’ll lead you into APOSTASY!

The Transgender Attack This contains two newspaper articles: 1. Surely Not Shameless ~ The Transgender Directive; 2. Surely Not Living a Lie ~ The Transgender Directive. These present both the spiritual and physical dangers tied to the recent “I think I identify with transgender” decree from President Obama. This is moving quickly in our society and especially so when the media’s bias is presenting the kind of things that promote LGBT (Lesbian, Gay *Homosexual, Bi-sexual, Trans-sexual).

Key points include scriptures on: evil thoughts, evil desire, lewdness, shameless behavior, uncleanness, motives, the mind, depraved passions, wrath of God upon the children of disobedience, walked in immoralities, lived in immoralities, despise wickedness and immorality, to lie against the truth about the TWO SEXES (MALE and FEMALE – MAN and WOMAN).

Gal. 1:6-9; Rev. 22:18-19).

Many and Few by Contrast  MANY and FEW by Contrast: It is better to have few than to have the human organizations our brethren have formed that intrude into the work God gave the local churches to do. God’s blessings come for the few as well as many who are willing to respect scriptural authority. Here are some applications as to why a church may be small in number.

Going to Church with the Easter Bunny Paying close attention is hard work (Heb. 2:1-3). W. E. Vine states commenting upon the word correctly translated “Passover” (Acts 12:4), “The term Easter is not of Christian origin. It is another form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the queen of heaven. The FESTIVAL of Pasch held by Christians in post-apostolic times was a continuation of the Jewish feast, but was not instituted by Christ, nor was it connected with Lent. From this Pasch the Pagan FESTIVAL of Easter was quite distinct and was introduced into the apostate Western religion, as part of the attempt to adapt Pagan festivals to Christianity” (Vine’s Expository Dictionary). Why not read this presentation and understand fully that the churches of Christ in the first century were not given a special Easter service. The development of SPECICAL DAYS and FESTIVALS for the church after the death of the apostles was the result of apostasy.

What You Can And Will Do In Christ This brief study should offer assurance to Christians that their efforts to serve God faithfully are attainable, as well as being greatly aided by others' prayers on their behalf. What one can and will do by remaining faithful in Christ is declared through the words of Paul's prayer for the church at Colossae in Col. 1:9-12. Here are the key thoughts: A. Be FILLED with knowledge, all wisdom and spiritual understanding. B. Walk worthy, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. C. Strengthened for attaining all steadfastness and patience, with Joy. D. Joyously giving thanks to the Father. Following is a "Check Your Spiritual Growth With Self-Test Questions" giving further emphasis to our growth and development into mature children of God. The stated "goal" of  our efforts is seen in Philippians 1:10-11.

109). This section tells you exactly what will happen to the wicked; they will eat the fruit of their own ways (sins) and be FILLED with their own fancies (Pr. 1:31); (4) You will learn about the purpose of their traps they set for the righteous; (5) God overthrows the best of secret counsel (Ps. 64).

Casting Down Eloquence & Sophistry Series (2 Cor. 10:4-5) While professing love and understanding false teachers make a mockery of Christ’s teaching in “how” they use Matt. 22:39 – they twist “love thy neighbor as thyself” and fail to put it properly with the preceding FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT – to love God with one’s “all” (cf. Matt. 22:37-38). These  deceivers are using “love your neighbor” to put their own stamps of approval on iniquity!

Why Churches Fear Applying “Scriptural Authority” ~ Selected Newspaper Articles Concerning “Scriptural Authority.”  Although gay marriage is recognized “civilly” by some states that will not make it “spiritually” right in God’s sight (cf. Matt. 19:5-6). Christians have a right to oppose this just like a guest column for the Sun recently explained when referencing the FIRST AMENDMENT: “Of course, religious groups have a constitutional right to oppose gay marriage and to refuse to perform same-sex weddings. And as long as we uphold the First Amendment that will continue to be the case.” When a group practicing that which is immoral is given status “civilly” ---- then suddenly it is “hate speech” when others continue as they always have to identify “religiously” a specific immorality; those claiming to be for freedom of speech want censorship while crying Phobia! Hate! All must uniformly speak as “they” else the motives are to be impugned and the characters assassinated.

A great weakness and lack of respect for “religious” freedom of speech is seen in objecting to specific sins being identified and requiring that others speak in generalities.

Surely Fair is Unacceptable ~ “All” Works of the Flesh are Sinful! A First Amendment point. One aspect of “religious freedom of speech” is the right to name specific immoralities (works of the flesh) as well as oppose the teachings of other religions (cf. Matt. 15:12-14). Much is said today in defense of practicing homosexuality as if none have the right to say religiously that it is sinful conduct. However, true Christians believe and teach that “all” works of the flesh identified in the New Testament are sinful and that includes practicing homosexuality (Cf. Rom. 1:24-32; I Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21).

Vindication Based Upon One’s Righteousness, Integrity This study is linked with a prior article and is a continuation of integrity as defined from Psalms 119, as well as other Psalms. For the first article see the introduction. In this study you will find such points as: (1) Pleading for protection against the wicked, (2) One’s hope for deliverance, (3) Asking God for vindication, (4) Who is FIT for communion with God, (5) What preserves when in distress, (6) The “I Haves” of integrity, and (7) David’s integrity.

I Th. 2:5-6; Rom. 16:17-18).

Selected Newspaper Articles Here are four newspaper articles presented to the community with a love for the truth. The intent is to present God’s truths without incorporating the emotional flavor so popular with other religious bodies. “When You’re Promised You’ll Like It!” exposes “pitches” for attracting visitors contrasted with what God’s word should produce in those who hear. As one in town put it, “I hate to admit it but going where I go I think at times I’m looking at Ken and Barbie.” Ken and Barbie productions are made to please men not God! (cf. Gal. 1:10). Be aware that God’s word teaches that the fault lies with “both” the listeners and the teachers. Listeners, who desire to have their ears tickled, accumulate teachers who will allow them all manner of immoralities! Such listeners are more than willing to support quite well the teachers who themselves are slaves of like covetous and carnal appetites. Such teachers use FLATTERY, entertaining, and artful speech to tickle the ears of their listeners. Read about them!

The Lies Of Apostasies The full title of this article is “The Pattern Of Lies Producing And Sustaining Apostasies.” Read this article to study what Jeroboam did wrong when he said in his heart that God’s established order would not work. Besides Jeroboam’s apostasy, the article presents in detail the pattern of lies producing apostasies from the book of Jeremiah. Some important questions answered are: Why do lies prevail? How has the truth been affected? What Lies? What will God do in the end? Why do lies sustaining apostasies prevail? Because people love the FLATTERY of liars and trust in their reckless boasting! (Jer. 23:32). This comes from their “own hearts” (23:26); from their own imagination (23:16). Moreover they have influence with those who despise God (23:17). This is where Human Tradition is born and comes from and how it continues! (Jer. 14:14). Lying pens are nothing new, Jer. 8:8. When you read their justifications you see their own authority speaking so they can rule by their own authority (Jer. 5:30-31). When apostasies go on and continue it is proof that they have caused people to trust in their reckless boasting! It is human tradition born and continued by their own authority! It has an “end” – Matt. 15:13; Ezk. 7 “An end!”

People should be implored to come to the light (Jo. 3:19-21) of God’s Word, and not come because they’ll like the FLATTERY, the socials and entertainment.

A Lesson On Being Fleeceable For The Naïve (Gullible) And Simple Minded  Some are amazed at just how gullible (FLEECEABLE) Christians can be. At least that’s what some say. This response was written to concur with such amazement. Why not read it and learn why some believe everything they are told?

From Youth through the Prime of Life (Eccl. 11:9-12:1) There are degrees of progression of age in this text. Accountability is seen throughout and the “right” things done are contrasted with things sinful that must be removed. These portions of life merge together and are fleeting, thus the necessity of remembering one’s Creator in the days of youth. Those in young adulthood are to know that for all things done God will bring you into judgment (Eccl. 11:9). Thus they must remove SORROW (GRIEF and ANGER) from their lives, and PAIN from their body for childhood and the prime of life are FLEETING!

C. Strengthened for attaining all stedfastness and patience, with Joy. D. Joyously giving thanks to the Father. Following is a "Check Your Spiritual Growth With Self-Test Questions" giving further emphasis to our growth in knowledge and ability to discern both good and evil.  To do this the Christian must get past carnality and the WORKS OF THE FLESH that make us dull of hearing, and spiteful (envy, strife, divisions)  of one another (I Cor. 3:1-3). The stated "goal" of  our efforts is seen in Philippians 1:10-11.

Casting Down Eloquence & Sophistry Series (2 Cor. 10:4-5) Sodom’s filthy conduct in the Old (Gen.19) stands as an example of the punishment of such for those who live afterwards in the New Testament period (2 Pet. 2:6-9; Jude 7). Jesus, Himself God, referred to this judgment where the Lord rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah. He said it will be just the same way the day the Son of Man is revealed! (Lk. 17: 27-30). Jesus also referred to the destruction of the ungodly in the world by the Flood (Lk. 17:26-27).

Why Aren’t Your Kids In Camp?  Summer time of the year obviously appears to be what some have referred to as the time for "youth summer CAMP," "youth rallies," and "FLORIDA COLLEGE CAMP" time. I offer the following by way of warning. If you think I'm too concerned about nothing of any importance then you may be the one who needs the warning.  NOTE: You will also find a series of articles answering arguments made for the existence of FLORIDA COLLEGE on our Home Page link.      Florida College Camp Arizona ~ Your Child’s Introduction to Institutionalism (2018) Unauthorized human organizations built by brethren that intrude into the work Christ gave for the churches are discussed here. The emphasis is on CAMPS and the obvious part they take as well as their promotion of FLORIDA COLLEGE.

The Lies Of Apostasies The full title of this article is “The Pattern Of Lies Producing And Sustaining Apostasies.” You don’t see much on this particular part of apostasy in spite of the fact that those involved are frequently said to have misrepresented others’ statements, twist what others say in confronting them, and that they just flat make false statements. Read this article to study what Jeroboam did wrong when he said in his heart that God’s established order would not work. Besides Jeroboam’s apostasy, the article presents in detail the pattern of lies producing apostasies from the book of Jeremiah. Here is an excerpt referring to two present apostasies: “For how many years have brethren been attending and supporting individually college lectureships men devised in their own hearts? …Well, now we are hearing that evil forces were not halted and now things are getting worse. Some cry out, “Something is happening that is worse than we ever imagined!” Why would anyone be surprised? After all the talk, talk, talk, and just talk did anyone really expect anything better to happen? Now, today, as some men speak of the “danger” involved in what FLORIDA COLLEGE and now the Guardian of Truth Foundation (Truth Magazine Lectureship) are doing, they say it competes with the Local Church God ordained, and has the potential to “replace” the local church in this country. …”  NOTE: You will also find a series of articles answering arguments made for the existence of FLORIDA COLLEGE on our Home Page.      It’s Not A Church! Once accepted one human organization spawns others. A kinship develops through acceptance, and the influence of even one “type” of human society can weigh strongly in others’ desire for yet another. The common defense of the human society amongst us is “It’s not a church” --- thus the arguments that the school, the camp and the benevolent society engaged in works God gave the local church are to be accepted. By defining the human society by what it is “not” by no means scripturally justifies it. This article presents this common defense with current application. The article contains a mention of FLORIDA COLLEGE for application. NOTE: You will also find a series of articles answering arguments made for the existence of FLORIDA COLLEGE on our Home Page.      The Great Apostasy is Done, Finished! This article brings the apostasy of Individual Societies built by Christians up to date. What was proposed in the 1800s and then again in our lifetime has taken root. Faithful members have always recognized that the congregational plan is the divine arrangement. Societies built today to do the works God gave His organization, the local church, to do are additions to His plan. They are not as is said just another avenue, or tool, for the church to do its work. Again, they are additions to God’s divine plan! This article applicable to the Guardian of Truth Foundation Lectureship, FLORIDA COLLEGE engaged in worship and evangelism, and multiple Camps that engage in worship and edification. In conjunction with this you might also want to read “Individually Supported Societies on the Sideline.”   NOTE: You will also find a series of articles answering arguments made for the existence of FLORIDA COLLEGE on our Home Page.      Patterns of Apostasy Repeat Themselves: The following brief outline on “Patterns of Apostasy” repeating themselves is used in our congregation for a “special class” when needed. The outline of itself presents a quick view of patterns repeating themselves through the years of even our own lives. It presents both “individual” and “church” supported societies that have been built by brethren: In 1845 J.T. Johnson’s evangelistic plan for individual not a congregational association; 1849 the American Christian Missionary Society supported by churches; (methods promoting apostasy during this period were used to introduce Instrumental Music in worship: (1) as early as 1851 in Kentucky “We are far in the rear of Protestants on the subject of church music”; (2) L. L. Pinkerton of Midway Ky. 1860 – can pinpoint the suggestions and argument “for”; (3) back again in 1864 W.K. Pendleton admits no N.T. usage but argues on basis of “silence of the scriptures” and “expediency” – it was an expedient like the church building); 1942 Planning for FLORIDA CHRISTIAN COLLEGE begins and in 1946 first students. This was not church supported but tactics similar to earlier apostasies; 1948 the Akin Foundation established as an organization for the support of churches of Christ; 1950s the Gospel Press organized to initially be supported by individuals – then started soliciting churches; 1950s the church support of Human Societies – Orphan Homes, the College, etc. The Sponsoring Church movement: The Herald of Truth, Feb. 10,1952 the Highland Church of Christ, Abilene, Tx. – was not same false pattern as A.C.M.S. was; 1970s-80s talk about our brethren building human societies for evangelistic purposes – as with other apostasies can pin point beginnings – 1973 the Cogdill Foundation appealed for contributions (donations) to send free tracts to the Philippines – questioned and dropped the appeal – late 1970s Mike Willis, the Guardian of Truth Foundation – discussions with Gene Frost, etc.; 2004 The first Guardian of Truth Foundation Lectureship – in just some 30 years a major apostasy again! Today we see a most “institutional” non-institutional brotherhood – to list a few through the years: Florida College, Guardian of Truth Foundation, F.C. Camps and others now, the Barnabas Ministry, WOW, Bread Upon the Waters, 1213. * For more detail see the outline.

Sects, and Sects Among Us  Here is an outline / notes, etc., on the sects of the Pharisees and Sadducees, as well as application to sects among us today. When speaking of the church Jesus said “I will build My church” (Matt 16:18). It is His church: 1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.; 1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.; Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; …the sect of the Pharisees added “more” to God’s word than was written in the Old Testament – today sects add “more” than revealed in the New Testament concerning the church of Christ.

The article contains information on the Sects, Pharisees, Sadducees, Scribes, Lawyers, Jewish Council or Sanhedrin, the Herodians, Human Tradition handed down and bound thus making void the law of God, Heresy is defined, Paul gave up the sect of the Pharisees to be a Christian, problems sects caused to the church in the first century and how they were dealt with, how some think they can Counsel God, Traditions Handed Down today Have a Beginning, Sects Among Us Associated with Human Tradition are FLORIDA COLLEGE and THE GUARDIAN OF TRUTH FOUNDATION, the Arlington Meeting (1968) between some chosen “Institutionalist and Non-Institutionalist” is exposed --- some of both sides being intent on justifying the Human Societies of their own choosing, how the Akin Fund among Non-Institutionalist is used against them at the Arlington Meeting, Emphasis being: “To keep the church as God gave it the society that intrudes into the works He gave the churches must go! All necessary correction (restoration) must be made back to the New Testament scriptural pattern for Christ’s church.”

Getting Smart with God (Sarcasm)  Many people, including some in the church, think that all uses of sarcasm are simply wrong and belong in the category of improper speech. Just like “satire” which is often humorous ridicule that conveys a rebuke or criticism, likewise “sarcasm” can be used to EXPOSE FOLLY AND VICE. Brethren it is not wrong to expose folly to ridicule! Here’s a Bible lesson using sarcasm. The rightful use of sarcasm is presented in this lesson.

Memory #2  You may desire to read “Memory #1” for April 2016 before this continuing article concerning some simple applications pertaining to one’s memory. Emphasis in this article is given to the importance of our remembering our own past conduct. Paul did not exclude himself when speaking of past conduct before his conversion – stating plainly that he acted ignorantly as a blasphemer, persecutor and violent aggressor (“injurious”) against the church. He included himself in being FOOLISH, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another (Titus 3:3). There is also the importance of our not forgetting even one of God’s benefits of salvation in Christ. Once restored one must not revert back--- thus once again forgetting the necessary obedience for salvation in Christ.

Things Often Missing During Afflictions The applications in this brief study will deal with those who are in affliction.  Dear reader, you will notice that with some of these God has no pleasure. For others, they see God’s faithfulness during their afflictions. FOOLS because of their iniquities, are afflicted! Why not read this either for yourself or with a view to being able to help another?

The Majority Know Another Jesus The church at Corinth gladly tolerated FOOLS who taught another Jesus and different gospel, Paul said (cf. 2 Cor. 11:4, 19).  It is possible for one to read the trifling literature of FOOLS and possess a completely false view of Jesus. Read the Gospels for yourself and see what He really did do and teach. Here’s a start with applications from the Gospels themselves that show the stark differences between what most think Jesus taught and what He really did teach!

Selected Newspaper Articles Dear reader the following titles are selected newspaper articles that appeared in our local newspaper the Yuma Sun. The first is titled “That’s Not My Jesus!” Some are quick to respond to Jesus’ condemnation of homosexuality with, “That’s not my God!” Such do not present the real Jesus. You will notice should you read each of the three brief articles that there are two kinds of “fools” mentioned therein. There are “FOOLS” who truly despise God’s wisdom and instruction given by Him in His Word (Prov. 1:29). Such fools as these do not listen to what God says. The article titled “Fools Leave God out of Marriage” presents this kind of fool.  Again, and by contrast there those who do listen and obey God’s Word who are viewed as being “FOOLS” for so doing. These “fools” are presented in the article titled “The Credentials of a FOOL.” Which kind of “fool” are you?

For the Naïve, Scoffers and Fools  In Proverbs chapter one “Wisdom” shouts publicly to all including the simple minded (naïve), scorners (scoffers) and FOOLS. Religious and scriptural applications are made with propaganda techniques. God doesn’t Name Call. If God says someone or some group is stupid then they are stupid! God does not use Glittering Generalities. He did not choose words and phrases with always favorable implications! God does not us the Plain Folks approach. God is not just one of us! God used “true” Guilty By Association. The three mentioned in the title are grouped and belong together, God says. God did not use the Band Wagon. Accepting God’s law and obeying it will not put you in the majority!

Selected Newspaper Articles for 2013 These newspaper articles from 2013 include: (1) “Using ‘Christendom’ to Cover Religious Error”; (2) “The Ways of the Street Mugger”; (3) “Murders, Murderers, Victims”; (4) “Surely not a Hot Head” – FOOLS LIPS / MOUTH and (5) “Surely not a Greedy Person.”

One point developed is the how ungodly friends will support improper sexual thoughts and help another fulfill them -- the instruction of FOOLS is folly – FOOLS avoid the obvious needed reproofs and warnings.

How a Lesson on Humility Became a “Church Ordinance”   Jesus did wash His disciples’ feet and the lesson explained in that context is that they must serve one another. However Ellen G. White, a supposed prophetess of the Seventh-day Adventist church, takes it upon herself to teach that the Lord’s Supper is to be preceded by a “FOOT WASHING” as a church ordinance. This lesson should help one to understand the difference between individual obligations and the “collective” works God gave for the local church as a functioning body or organization.

A Study of Sin Confessed  This article addresses the responsibility that Christians have to confess the sins they commit in order that they might be forgiven. It explores various reasons and motives that lay behind one's willingness to confess their wrongdoing.  Judah in Genesis 38 is used as an example where confession of sin is sometimes FORCED upon one by another.

The Conduct God Expects From Our Members  Read this article and it should help you to better understand the "unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace" (Eph. 4:1-3; Col. 3:12-14). These 7 Virtues are discussed as being necessary for each member of the local church: Lowliness (Humility), Meekness (Gentleness), Longsuffering (Patience), FOREBEARING (Showing Tolerance), Tender Mercies (Heart of Compassion), Kindness and Forgiving one another. Understanding these in this context answers such important questions as: Whom can I talk to?, When do I go to another?, Can I speak publicly in rebuking to thus maintain this unity?, What would a refusal to listen indicate? And, What happens to one who does not forgive if one repents?

What To Tell Your Mate When They Are Guilty of Wrath Christians need to study and then be honest and make the right applications to one another, all family members, and especially with their own mates (Cf. I Th. 5:14). The stubborn and unrepentant heart despises the riches of God’s kindess, FORBEARANCE and longsuffering! God’s FORBEARANCE doesn’t mean weakness (connected with their despising or ignoring Him), nor does his LONGSUFFERING equal forgiveness! Paul demands repentance!

The Foolishness In Forgetting God’s Word  Trials should not cause us to FORGET God’s law! We can receive strength in remembering past trials we persevered in (Cf. Heb. 10:32-34). The one who perseveres does not shrink back! Why not read this article and acquaint yourself with what is happening when one FORGETS God’s law?

The Way of Integrity Psalms 119 This Psalm is often avoided because of its length. This study begins with eight points on integrity with God. Understand that it is on the grounds of your integrity that you may plead to God for protective care against the wicked (Ps. 119:121-128). He hated every false way! Those who FORGET God’s word will become your adversary although you considered them a friend. These are but a few of the good lesson presented through studying this Psalm. Why not read the article and while doing so read it along with your Bible?

Memory #1  Hopefully this will be the first of three articles. Memory is brought to light with such words as “remember,” “remind,” “FORGET” and “neglect.” The antonym means to FORGET, and at times intentionally thus implying culpability. Those who want to remember the applicable lessons from God’s Word are the ones who are “doers of the word” (Ja.1:22). The one who deceives himself hears God’s word as it gives him the right view of himself but “immediately” – at once, very soon upon departing from the word he forgets what he really is – his mind turns immediately to what pleases him when he leaves the word. The proper use of memory is presented in the light of using it to repent, and using the past where brethren sought to corrupt or even destroy the congregation.

Memory #2  You may desire to read “Memory #1” for April 2016 before this continuing article concerning some simple applications pertaining to one’s memory. Emphasis in this article is given to the importance of our remembering our own past conduct. Paul did not exclude himself when speaking of past conduct before his conversion – stating plainly that he was a blasphemer, persecutor and violent aggressor (“injurious”) against the church. There is also the importance of our not FORGETTING even one of God’s benefits given to us in Christ.

You saw it so deal with it!  You can read about the "immediate" approach of our Lord in correcting others. This is followed with scriptures depicting the responsibility all members have to do the same. The lesson exposes those who, with no intention of straightening anything out, prefer to say that they “do” FORGIVE those who sin against them without demanding repentance.

A Study of Sin Confessed  This article addresses the responsibility that Christians have to confess the sins they commit in order that they might be FORGIVEN. It also points out that FORGIVENESS should be based upon the repentance of the one who sinned.

Who Can Forgive Sins But God Alone?  The various accounts of Jesus’ power to FORGIVE SINS sins during His personal ministry testified to Him being God. He forgave sins for both men and women. In Matt. 9:1-8 when Jesus healed the paralytic He wanted them to know that the Son of Man had authority to forgive sins. The simple point is He had the authority do so because He was God. We must accept that and keep it in the “time” period in which it occurred. This article explains the purpose of John’s baptism, as well as the forgiveness and salvation of the thief who was crucified with Jesus (Lk. 23:43). The Lord said that He came to seek and to save the lost (Lk. 19:10). Thus He forgave sins as one of the blessings of His presence among men.

God’s forbearance doesn’t mean weakness (connected with their despising or ignoring Him), nor does his longsuffering equal FORGIVENESS. Paul demands repentance!

If one of us suffers because we remain arrogant and obstinate then our tears will be the tears of Jeremiah if we love them (cf. Jer. 13:17). Here the point is made that there is no rejoicing when one merely asks for FORGIVENESS but does not repent of anything. However, you will find such “rejoice with” applications in this article as (1) I Can Rejoice With One Who Is Faithful Whom I Know God Delights Over To Do Good; (2) I Can’t Rejoice With Another When I See The Vanity Of The World; (3) I Can Rejoice With One Who Rejoice In Truth; (4) I Can Rejoice With One Who Wants God’s Instruction, Counsel, And Eye Upon Them.

Verses are presented that deal with: (19) baptism for the FORGIVENESS of sins…

In this article you will find a simple biblical pattern based upon 2 Tim. 3:16-17 that will be helpful in answering this as well as many other questions non-Christians have about our faith. The word FORNICATION is properly defined as “illicit sexual intercourse.” FORNICATION as a violation of God’s law for mankind is set forth with the penalty being eternal punishment in hell! (Cf. Rom. 1:32, 3:23, 6:23, Heb. 13:4, Rev. 21:8). Instruction” in the Word plainly states that FORNICATION as described above is a work of the flesh that leads to eternal destruction if not repented of (I Cor. 6:9; Gal. 5:19-21).

… People are undeniably being led to believe that all they need to do is show up for a service they’re sure to like — then they can go right back to their worldly life styles!

Church is like a club for them, but the club is like this: “How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and not honour that cometh from God only?” (Jo. 5:44). Such can FORSAKE ASSEMBLING, show up occasion when convenient for them and still receive praise from the members and leaders: “Oh, it is so good to see you again.” They give them the false praise so they’ll be praised in return: “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false Prophets” (Lk. 6:26).

Speak Evil of No Man – But I Can Say… We find the admonition to “speak evil of no man” in Titus 3:2. To speak evil means to vilify, defame, or blaspheme. Most don’t know how to read the Bible. In the same verse we are not to be a brawler. If I call a brawler what he is, i.e., a brawler do I violate “speak evil of no man”? People pay no attention to what Jesus said and where he said it. Furthermore, they pay no attention to what hypocrites said to Him and when they said it. Finally, most pay no attention to what Jesus said and who He said it to! When it comes to social, cultural, and political activities, Christians deal with the immoralities as He did. The unfruitful works of darkness are to be reproved (Eph 5:11-13). I’ll use Herod Antipas as the first example. Was he the FOX Jesus said he was?

Why Churches Fear Applying “Scriptural Authority” ~ Selected Newspaper Articles Concerning “Scriptural Authority.” Although gay marriage is recognized “civilly” by some states that will not make it “spiritually” right in God’s sight (cf. Matt. 19:5-6). Christians have a right to oppose this just like a guest column for the Sun recently explained: “Of course, religious groups have a constitutional right to oppose gay marriage and to refuse to perform same-sex weddings.

You Discriminate! You Hate! ~ “Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?” (Matt. 15:12) Today almost every criticism of another’s religion brings the charge of irrational criticism and hate: “You’re discriminating!” “You hate!” A great weakness in understanding RELIGIOUS FREEDOM OF SPEECH lies in thinking that one must not criticize any religion for some might be offended. Read here how Jesus replied to such false charges.

Do Not Let Your Heart Envy Sinners The purpose of this article is to emphasize the importance of enabling others to develop speech that correctly describes the sinner ---- and especially our children. Emphasis is given to what envy says about the heart. Applications are made for this important question: If you can’t say the wicked are so what are some likely problem you will have? For one, envy and FRETTING take away the fear of God (Pr. 8:13). “Wisdom” can say evil is hated (Rom. 12:9). Ps. 73 discussed here is about one who lost the pure heart he praised and was envious of the “boasters” who depicted physical health and material prosperity that most did not have. The appropriate conclusion is: Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil (Ps. 37:7-9).  Don’t FRET as it only leads to doing more evil!

Selected Newspaper Articles From The Valley Church of Christ  What is the local church to present to one who should be seeking God for salvation? Simply stated, the church has the responsibility to be the pillar and support of the truth as revealed in the New Testament, Paul said (I Tim. 3:15). This involves presenting “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27). Thus there will be no holding back in order to impress and attract visitors. It should never be as one explained in saying that the district had sent their church notice not to teach on divorce, for that would keep them from being “SEEKER FRIENDLY.” Read “Holding Back Truth To Be A ‘SEEKER FRIENDLY’ Church.”

They’ll often say, “No one else’s does, why yours?” The newspaper places it there.    The only kind of assembly of a local church that is worth a dime is the kind Paul recommended to Corinth:

1Co 14:24  But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

1Co 14:25  And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.

Here the visitor is convicted by all who give instruction in God’s word (I Cor. 14:24). In other words, based upon scriptural instruction and application by the teachers, the person is actually told where their sins are leading them — they receive a rebuke even though just visiting and the instructors not even knowing them. Imagine that! Here the visitor did not jump up and leave. He stayed for he had found the truth of God’s Word (I Cor. 14:24). The point is that YOU are just what God’s Word is looking for! When visitors are looking to please “self” rather than God then you’ll often see them get up and march out. Those who hate the Light aren’t comfortable around applicable teaching. It isn’t that the church is NOT FRIENDLY; it is what Jesus said about those who love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil.

After Baptism, Then What?   A major point in this article concerns the FRIENDS and acquaintances of new Christians who are not yet members of Christ's church. The new Christian is to deal with them scripturally rather than emotionally. The material offers appropriate encouragement and warnings for those recently baptized for the remission of their sins.

One point developed is the how UNGODLY FRIENDS will support improper sexual thoughts and help another fulfill them -- the instruction of fools is folly – fools avoid the obvious needed reproofs and warnings.

Selected Newspaper Articles for 2013 These newspaper articles from 2013 include: (1) “Using ‘Christendom’ to Cover Religious Error”; (2) “The Ways of the Street Mugger”; (3) “Murders, Murderers, Victims”; (4) “Surely not a Hot Head” – make NO FRIENDSHIP with an angry man, and (5) “Surely not a Greedy Person.”

109). This section tells you exactly what will happen to the wicked. They will eat the FRUIT of their own ways (sins), and be filled with their own fancies (Pr. 1:31); (4) You will learn about the purpose of their traps they set for the righteous; (5) God overthrows the best of secret counsel (Ps. 64).

The FRUITFULNESS of the virtues that are in us and abound are paralled fom Peter's list, 2 Peter 5:1-11.

This individual wants to know “Why” I would determine that people who choose to live together are wrong in doing so. I presumed this to be an honest question deserving of an answer.

Understand that following a desire to know God's will as one reads the Bible they must learn to make the proper applications. Proper applications necessitate distinguishing between what is "right" and what is "wrong."  Paul said concerning God’s word, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, THROUGHLY FURNISHED unto all good works” (2 Tim. 3:16-17). This article presents the profit of God’s word as seen in doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness – thus FURNISHING (EQUIPPING) the Christian unto every good work. “Instruction” in the Word plainly states that fornication as described above is a work of the flesh that leads to eternal destruction if not repented of (I Cor. 6:9; Gal. 5:19-21).

9-11-2001 ~ Things I Can Count On Today  America was attacked by terrorists on this date. This is a “time” when people thrive upon inappropriate statements, and misleading applications of God’s Word. Many love to “go with the flow,” and jump on the bandwagon! Illustrations of such would be, “Nostradamas said…,” “Armageddon has come,“ “the Mark of the Beast.” An important part of this study shows when men have QUESTIONS as to "Why?" or "What is THE  FUTURE?" that Christians have a limited number of precious things that they can depend upon. These few but precious things are where a Christian's life really is, anywhere and any place that they might be.

Someone Christians Never Need --- The Corporate Chaplain   The corporate Chaplain is unknown in the New Testament church. Here is your “PHYSICAL FUTURE” generally speaking (Eccl. 12:1-8). Thirdly, this article presents some of the dangers for Christians in care centers and lessons from the elderly, both good and bad.
